Peru, The New World

San Isidro's Parque El Olivar

No better way to start a walk around old Lima. These olive trees were brought from Spain during the seventeenth century.

Huaca Pucllana - Pucllana Piramid

One of the two Huacas (piramids) made from adobe bricks, excavated in Lima city. Puclanna was built by some strange 1.40 m hight average Lima culture, around 200 A.D.

Adobe wall - Huaca Pucllana

More adobe bricks than we could imagine ... this is one huge Huaca!

Peruvian sacred dog

Ugly, hairless dog - still a sacred pet for any civilization that used to roam that land!

Path to the top level of Huaca Pucllana

... Pucllana used to be a popular motorcycle circuit some 20 years ago until introduced in the Peruvian archaeological patrimony.

Sacrificial square - top of the Huaca

Plastic reproduction of Lima 1.40 m high people (200 A.D. - 800 A.D.)

Huaca Huallamarca - Second Pyramid

Build around 200 B.C. and used until 500 A.D., it had a ritual and funeral function for Lima civilization.

Here ....

Locked inside the museum, we found a 1.40 m high woman, with 2 m long hair. We called her Tejodora!

And from the top of the pyramid

An excellent view of San Isidro surroundings.

  1. Hey, this is pretty impressive for a startup/grenfield blogging enterprise, at least on the graphic side. It seems that there are things about you that are yet to be unveiled even to a refined connaisseur's eyes :). Keep it up and bring out the rest of the odyseey. I.
